Soccer - Youth
The YMCA partners with SESA to offer youth soccer programs in a fun, skill-based environment. We have a variety of programs offering different formats from volunteer coaches to professional sport coaches. With an emphasis on fair play and safety first, the YMCA/SESA youth soccer programs are progressive with age appropriate rules to help teach the game and keep it fun! Soccer is a sport that teaches important core values, while also emphasizing exercise and building endurance.
All participants must have:
- Soccer Cleats
- Shin Guards
- Size 4 soccer ball (Junior Academy and Community Rec League)
- Water Bottle
Fall Community League
Your BURLINGTON AREA YMCA and SOUTHEAST SOCCER ACADEMY team up to offer an opportunity to be active outdoors while improving your child’s soccer skills. Community League soccer places a strong emphasis on both skill and character development. Each player will receive a team t-shirt. Register at the Y front desk or online at www.burlingtony.org.
*The Fall Community League is open to all boys and girls ages pre-k to 8th grade.

Introducing SESA Touch Tuesdays! Burlington community league players U10 and older now have access to weekly professional training sessions led by SESA coaches. These sessions will focus on enhancing player touch and technical skills. Join us :
Tuesdays from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM at the Burlington Rec Plex starting September 1st.

The U8 Junior Academy Program is open to all Boys and Girls birth year 2021-2018; perfect for new players looking to build skills and passion for soccer and returning players to continue in a valued program to prepare for the competitive SESA Academy following programs.
Practice Schedule:
- Mondays: 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM at FC Turf
- Thursdays: 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM at SESA Training Grounds

Summer 7v7 League
The SESA Youth 7v7 League is a great way to get outside, make new friends, learn from new coaches, and PLAY SOCCER. Teams will be mixed, coed, and divisions divided by age groupings. Divisions may be combined if needed. **When registering, be sure to select the rate code in the drop down menu at the top of the payment screen**
League Info:
Format: Coed, mixed teams. No practices or shirts—just games!
When: Tuesday evenings (June 16 – July 21).
Where: Burlington RecPlex.
Ages: U8 (4v4 optional), U10, U12, and U14 (incoming 8th graders).
- Cost: SESA Club Members $40 & Non-SESA Club Members $50
- **SESA Club Members for 2026-2027 Season 9U-19U
