Youth Basketball
Our program is for kids from Kindergarten to 8th grade; boys and girls that want to participate in activities and games of basketball improving their basketball skills and have fun at the same time!
Kindergarten Basketball Huddle
This basketball huddle session is open to any boy or girl in Kindergarten. The focus will be on development of skills and drills with periods of scrimmaging. Y basketball places a strong emphasis on character development while helping players develop their basketball fundamentals. Each child needs a water bottle and athletic/basketball shoes.

Mighty Mite Basketball - Grades 1 & 2
YMCA Jr. NBA Basketball League
Get ready for an exciting introduction to basketball with our YMCA Jr. NBA Basketball League, specially designed for 1st and 2nd graders!
We’ve partnered with Jr. NBA leagues to bring an authentic NBA experience to your child. Imagine your young hoopster proudly sporting an official NBA/WNBA team jersey as they learn and play!
This developmental league focuses on fun, skill-building, and teamwork. Our games, held every Saturday in Gym 2 at the Y, emphasize participation over competition. While parent volunteer coaches guide the teams, scores won’t be kept, and rules will be adjusted to ensure everyone has a blast while learning the fundamentals of the game. It’s the perfect environment to introduce your child to the joys of basketball in a supportive and engaging way.
The league runs from November 7th to December 19th, with no games scheduled the weekend after Thanksgiving.
