Swim Team
Our Swim Team is a year- round YMCA/USA swim program. We offer different training groups to best meet the training needs of our athletes.
YMCA competition season- November – February, Post Season meets in March
USA Short course competition season- November- March
USA Long Course competition season – May – July
Training is year round.

2026-27 Season
The Burlington Area Bullsharks is a competitive swim program designed to help swimmers build confidence, develop strong technique, and grow as athletes. Swimmers are placed in groups based on their skill level and experience, with opportunities to progress as they develop.
Blue Group is for swimmers who are newer to competitive swimming and are building confidence in the water. Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards (one length of the pool) without stopping. Practices focus on water safety, basic stroke technique, endurance, and having fun while learning.
White & Black Groups are for swimmers who have mastered the basic techniques and are ready for more advanced training. Practices focus on all four competitive strokes, endurance, race skills, and preparing swimmers for competition while working toward personal bests and higher-level meets.

Bullsharks New Swimmer Assessment
Come experience the Burlington Area Bullsharks! Swimmers will participate in a swim-team-style practice while our coaches assess their swimming skills to determine the best group placement. This is a great opportunity for new swimmers to see what swim team is all about and find their place on the team!
Ages 5+ | Must be able to swim one length of the pool unassisted.
Goggles are strongly recommended
