This basketball huddle session is open to any boy or girl in Kindergarten. The focus will be on development of skills and drills with periods of scrimmaging. Y basketball places a strong emphasis on character development while helping players develop their basketball fundamentals. Each player will receive a t-shirt. Each child needs a water bottle and athletic/basketball shoes.

This program is offered for boys and girls through 3rd – 6th grades. Participants will have the opportunity to learn new skills, get active, gain confidence. The drills will be set to challenge the participant based on skill level.

Activities takes place once a week for 60 minutes and runs for five sessions;

Saturday from 9:30-10:30 am

• drills working on basketball fundamentals (dribbling, passing, shooting, defense)
• coordination and strength exercises
• 1v1 skills
• read and react situations
• small games

This summer, the Y will be offering a co-ed basketball camp for students entering 1st-6th grades for the  2024-2025 school year.  This program is perfect for players new to the game or who are looking to improve their skills while focusing on the fundamentals of the game. *Sessions may be broken down further to accommodate varying skill levels of campers.
