Camp McBride Summer Daycamp Schedule Day Camp is designed to meet the needs of the working parent as well as the one week camper. Summer camp is a great place for children to develop mentally, physically, and spiritually. The camp program provides the opportunity to experience a wide range of activities for both old and new campers. Activities include hiking, swimming, arts & crafts, singing, fishing, skits, archery, nature study, canoeing, boating, group games, water games, youth sports and outdoor cooking. Each Monday through Friday transportation will be provided from the Burlington Y at 9:00am and will return each afternoon by 4:20pm. Registration Begins: Wednesday, March 14 Extended Hours: For working parents campers may be brought to the Y as early as 7:00am and be picked up as late at 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. A late pick up fee of $5 per five minutes will be charged to parents who do not pick up their child by 5:30pm. Camp McBride offers fine modern facilities with a flexibility that can be matched to a variety of needs. Camp features include:
People are an organization’s greatest resource. The success of any organization ultimately depends on how efficiently its members work together to achieve a common vision. Communication, trust, self-confidence, respect, problem solving. These are building blocks for a successful team. TEAM Works is a one day program customized to your organization’s needs. Activities and challenges with perceived risk are set forth to enhance qualities such as creative problem solving, positive conflict management, effective use of resources and leadership skills. The program incorporates experiential learning theory though team challenges and outdoor high adventure.
Low ropes elements are a series of obstacles and challenges that a group must work together to accomplish. The activities offer solution-focused problem solving. Examples of initiatives include: Nitro Crossing, Low Beams, Pirate’s Crossing and Tension Traverse. Our high ropes are adventure based which take participants 30-40 feet off the ground and include the following elements:

Call Gina Crabtree Environmental Education Each year hundreds of children come to Camp McBride for environmental education programs. During these programs, children are involved in a series of outdoor experiences designed to help foster environmental awareness and concern. Examples of classes include: Bugs & Us, Compass Readings, Aquatics, Ecology 101 and many more.
